Mandeville Trailhead Amphitheater gig

Driving to Mandeville last Saturday to attend my first morning gig ever was pretty nice. The sun was shining on the Causeway bridge, the longest or third longest bridge -depending on definitions- over water in the world. Brown pelicans where flying along the road at eye level.

The gig was also the longest show I've ever performed as I played from 10:30 am to 1:15 pm. The idea was to play during the Saturday community market held there every week and besides the breaking of my guitar strap and the cold wind blowing from behind my back everything went well. Kids were playing in front of the stage, bicycle riders waved to say hello as they passed by and the audience enjoyed the show.-

Last night's gig at Neutral Ground

Seems like everybody in New Orleans was recovering from Mardi Gras... Ashley Beach who was playing after me confirmed that impression by telling me that you needed 48 hours to recover from Mardi Gras.

So let's say the place was not crowded, but I had some good feedback. I met this guy Chris after the show who happens to have lived rue de Courcelles in Paris.
